AiLycée

Tuition · Attendance · Report cards · Parent app

Tuition in a spreadsheet. Comments written by hand. A phone that never stops.

AiLycée replaces all three. Tuition and arrears on one screen, attendance and grades that survive a power cut, and a report-card comment drafted for every student — which your teachers edit and approve. Arabic, French and English from the first day.

What changes in the first term

Three outcomes, in the order you will feel them

Not a feature list. These are the three conversations that get easier once the school is running on AiLycée.

You can see the money

Expected against collected for the year, an aging table by family, and a numbered PDF receipt for every payment in cash, cheque, Whish or transfer. The arrears conversation stops being a guess.

  • Aging in 1–30 / 31–60 / 61–90 / 90+ day buckets
  • Receipts numbered per school and immutable — corrections are credit notes
  • Export the aging table to XLSX for the board

Your teachers get their evenings back

Attendance in a few taps on a phone with no signal, grades entered offline and synced later, and at term end a drafted comment per student that the teacher edits and approves.

  • A whole class drafted in under two minutes
  • Nothing is published without the teacher's click
  • Grades and attendance queue locally and sync when the line returns

Parents stop calling the office

Grades, absences, homework, the tuition balance and the receipt live on the parent's phone in the parent's own language — plus one warm summary every Friday.

  • Absence alerts within minutes, on WhatsApp or in the app
  • The balance is shown neutrally, and never blocks a child's grades
  • Teacher conversations stay inside school-controlled channels

The screen that sells the school on itself

Every unpaid installment, by family, by age

Your accountant opens one tab and knows exactly who to call and what to say. Filter by date, level or class; export the whole table for the board meeting.

Aging the way you already talk about it

Not yet due, then 1–30, 31–60, 61–90 and 90+ days overdue — per family, and totalled across the school.

The guardian's number is in the row

One tap opens WhatsApp with the right parent. No cross-referencing a second spreadsheet.

Every payment produces a receipt

Numbered per school, immutable, and carrying a QR anyone can check at ailycee.com/verify.

The AI layer

AI writes the first draft. Your teacher writes the last word.

At term end AiLycée drafts a two-to-four sentence comment per student from that student's own grades, trends and attendance — in the school's report language. The teacher reads, edits and approves each one. Nothing reaches a bulletin without that click.

Assessment

Gradebook, report cards and AI comments

Abou Jaoude FarahArabic19.06/20

Model: claude-sonnet-4-5 · prompt v3 · 412 tok

Farah has had an excellent term in Arabic, with an average of 19.06/20 and consistently careful written work. She contributes readily and helps the pupils around her. To keep this momentum she should push a little further on the longer analytical answers.

Kanaan SaraArabic11.06/20

Edited by the teacher

Model: claude-sonnet-4-5 · prompt v3 · 412 tok

Sara ends the term at 11.06/20, a little below where she was in the first term. Her oral work is noticeably more assured than her written work, and three absences in February cost her ground on the grammar unit. A short daily reading routine would make the difference next term.

Reject Approve edits

The model received Farah's and Sara's first names and their marks. No family name, phone number or address is ever in the prompt.

  • Only the child's first name and academic facts ever reach the model — never family names, phone numbers, addresses, ID numbers or photos.
  • Every draft is stored with its model, prompt version, token count, approver and timestamp.
  • The weekly parent digest states only numbers that exist in the data; an unverifiable figure blocks the message.
  • Turn AI off and the school runs exactly as before — nothing core depends on it.

What a parent actually sees

The app a parent opens on Friday evening

Parents are the reason schools stop churning. They get the week in their own language — Arabic, French or English — independently of the language the school teaches in, and it reads on a phone with no signal because the last update is stored on the device.

One weekly summary, not fifteen notifications
A short paragraph every Friday at 16:00 covering grades, attendance and what is coming — on WhatsApp and in the app.
The balance, the plan, the receipt
Installments, what is paid, what is due, and every PDF receipt with its verification QR.
One login, every child
Siblings switch at the top of the screen; the family's balance is one number.

Built for the conditions, not despite them

The power cuts. The school keeps running.

Electricity and internet cuts

Teacher and parent apps hold their data on the device and sync when the line returns. Conflicts are logged and the newer value kept, never silently overwritten.

Fresh USD, cash, cheque and Whish

Amounts are stored as USD cents with an LBP display rate your school sets. Payments are recorded, not processed — receipts are the deliverable.

Parents live on WhatsApp

Absence alerts, digests and receipts go out as WhatsApp templates with SMS fallback and push for app users. Teachers never hand out a personal number.

Two programmes, one school

/20 with coefficients and a moyenne for the francophone side, /100 with letter bands for the anglophone side — at the same time, in the same school.

Where your data lives

Our cloud, or a server in your building

The same Docker images run both ways, so nothing is cloud-only and you can change your mind later. Whichever you choose, you can export the entire school — students, grades, finance, documents — as JSON and CSV at any time.

Cloud (SaaS)

Hosted in one European region, encrypted at rest and in transit, backed up nightly. Available from the Starter plan.

  • Updates applied automatically
  • Nightly encrypted backups, 30-day retention
  • Mobile apps still work through an outage

On-prem / hybrid

A single UPS-friendly node inside the school, backing up to your own NAS. Included with the Institution plan.

  • Runs on the school LAN during an internet cut
  • Nightly encrypted dump to your NAS, optional offsite
  • Updates scheduled with you, from the same images
